Not Guilty and It's a Boy

A judge agrees that John Coughlin has a good excuse for speeding. His wife was about to have a baby.

Coughlin was cited for doing 102 in a 55 mile per hour zone. Coughlin admitted to the speeding in a New Hampshire court. But his wife Angela testified that her water broke and she was about to give birth.

Judge Jay Boynton told Coughlin that he was driving too fast, but agreed that, under the circumstances, his actions were justified. Coughlin said he fought the ticket because he was afraid he might lose his license if he plead guilty.

The judge dismissed the speeding ticket.

Coughlin said that he was relieved and happy this whole issue is behind him.

By the way, they had a boy.
