For the first time in 30 years the original lineup of Heart reunites (sans Ann & Nancy Wilson – listen to the show, the explanation is there) to perform on today’s PODcast.  It’s an informal dress rehearsal for their Synergia Northwest appearance on Saturday, May 15, 2010, at the Temple Theater in Tacoma.

Howard Leese, Roger Fisher, Steve Fossen, and Michael Derosier are the founders of Heart and the band that backed up Ann and Nancy Wilson on pivotal rock albums like Dreamboat Annie, Little Queen, and Dog & Butterfly.

Today, with the help of vocalist Somar Macek (pron: Summer Mayseck … we found that out a little late), they recreate some of that early Heart magic with a live performance of Love Alive in the moldy basement.
