World affairs, local music and the benefits of chocolate collide on this morning’s podcast co-hosted by Seattle Weekly food writer Julien Perry. First we Skype live from Cairo, Egypt with a FOP (Friend of the Podcast) who lives six-miles from the city center where a historic political transformation is taking place. And then live music from James Germain and the Grey Grey Days, a Seattle band that channels the Bright Eyes-like vocals and songwriting talents of its front man into a powerful folk groove (Tractor Tavern, February 15, 2011). Oh, and chocolate is good for you, so say the scientists at Hershey’s. All that on today’s podcast.

Enjoyed the Trayle Kulshan interview a lot and I have heard her uncle Daddy Treetops (lives in Edison, WA) and she is right — he is a great Blues singer and guitar player.
